waiting on the world to change

before this i never thought that it is possible for an African American guy to be the President of US, especially because this is where the blacks used to be the slaves for the whites.
until now i still think dat it was amazing how Obama breaks through the white prejudice.

the new Mr President simply won because of his attitude, which is muchhhh different from the ex US President, George Bush Jr. (luv how the EX sounds.haha)

these days, US is known to the world for something that we all knew wat it is, killing people, war, sanctions, etc.
Obama said he'll change these.
lets juz hope he can really change all these situations, eventhough no doubt it's gonna be challenging for him to be inaugurated in this stage, where the world is experiencing the economic crisis and many other disaster.
all i say best of luck to u, Mr President!!

juz finished watching the barack obama's inauguration speech.
yes, it was indeed a great speech, well said, well done.
for short he gave an eloquent speech.
i'm not good in paying attention to people's speech, especially the speech with this kind of length.
however, i actually listened, and every word dat came out from his mouth gave me goosebumps.

i'm also amazed of the atmosphere, the silence in the crowd when he deliver the speech. it seems dat obama's speech did not only make me listened, he also make the crowd listened. the whole world was listening!!

one of the many parts of his speech:

"For we know that our patchwork heritage is a strength, not a weakness. We are a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus, and non-believers. We are shaped by every language and culture, drawn from every end of this Earth; and because we have tasted the bitter swill of civil war and segregation, and emerged from that dark chapter stronger and more united, we cannot help but believe that the old hatreds shall someday pass; that the lines of tribe shall soon dissolve; that as the world grows smaller, our common humanity shall reveal itself; and that America must play its role in ushering in a new era of peace."

"To the Muslim world, we seek a new way forward, based on mutual interest and mutual respect."

well said Mr Obama. =)

the atmosphere was 100% different, it's like i'm looking to a new US. the whites cheering on an African American as their new president?? it was weird, yet it was overwhelming to see their support.

juz hope he'll do good, he certainly has a tough responsibility to be the first black President.

and yeah, one more great thing on the inauguration day, saying goodbye to the ex-president. "lets all throw shoes!!" whoaaaa~

they're saying: "jom baling kasut ramai2!!"

no doubt his inaugral address was great..i bwt he had done a lot of researches to prepare it..n it's not suprising either as he read law in harvard n was even an editor for one of the students' publications..

excellent oratory skills is one thing, but what makes a true leader an effective one is how he/she perform his/her job..

if i'm not mistaken, here in japan, when ppl were looking at aso taro to replace fukuda, people simply did that because of his speeches were somewhat impressive..but look at what's happening now..sorry la kalo salah info..

even back in msia, after so much hype bcos someone had brought an unprecedented 90% control of parliament for BN back in 2004,just in a space of 4 yrs,due to the damages done to the country n party, the party is now living on a life line..n dat guy too is going to step down in 2 months..luckily it was not thru the GE tho..

perhaps, the same thing did occur in the States..economy is in stagnant, the country is on two wars bla bla which made people switch to him..

whatever it is,all the best to him, altho i remain a bit skeptical for the time being...he's still new to american politics..having been a senatro for one term..n politics isn't smtg u can master thru reading books or so..many people have failed in realizing dis as they try to be in the corridors of power..an oxford, harvard etc graduate does not necessarily become a great politician..

n owh,don forget abt this video too..

    points taken... agreed.

no doubt from his address he's an eloquent spech giver, but somehow it's easier to say change than to actually change rite. ;)
remain skeptical for the time being is actually the best choice, till we see changes.

and still he got all the support for people had enough of the ex. wats best to kick 'da' bush n his ilk out if not replacing with a guy who came out with trustworthy words and a contrast to the ex. a lot wanting Obama to come in and a lot wanting Bush out. dats why.

he sure has the oratory skills and sure is articulate. oh yeah and the education. but it's more than dat.

all the best to him, lets just wait and see!! =)

haha..i have to admit that even i myself wished i could be an american watching his at the Capitol Hill for that one moment..tengok youtube pn ade gak tepuk2 :p

neway, talk abt ppl around him, yeah,no doubt that there are many jews(or worse,zionists)..one of the appointments which we should be alert is his chief of staff, rahm emmanuel..

i'm not going to write long abt him,but i'll just quote one part from wiki:

"..Emanuel was born in Chicago, Illinois to Jewish parents.[5] His father, Benjamin M. Emanuel, a Jerusalem-born pediatrician, was a member of the Zionist organization Irgun.[6][7] His mother, Martha Smulevitz, was the daughter of a Chicago union organizer.[1] She worked in the civil rights movement and owned, briefly, a local rock-and-roll club.[6] She is now a psychiatric social worker.[6] The two met in Chicago in the 1950s.[1] Emanuel's older brother Ezekiel J. Emanuel is an oncologist and bioethicist, and his brother Ari Emanuel a Hollywood talent agent.[4] He has an adopted sister, Shoshanna, 14 years his junior.[4][6]

Emanuel's first name, Rahm (רם) – high or lofty in Hebrew – is the namesake of one Rahamim (surname unknown), which means mercy in Hebrew, killed in the 1940s fighting for the outlawed Zionist group Lehi.[8][9] The surname Emanuel (עמנואל), adopted by the family in honor of his father's brother Emanuel Auerbach, killed in Jerusalem during a skirmish with Arabs, means God is with us. Sources conflict as to whether the family changed its name from Auerbach in 1933 or 1938.[6] [8] [9]..""
